introduction

‘Daniel & Lili’ is the fruit of almost a century’s presence at the Paris flea market ‘les Puces de St Ouen’.  Dealers in vintage and second hand items from father to son, they specialize in buttons, beads and passementries (braids, tassels, brocades, trimmings…) gathered from the purchase of pre-war stocks of small regional manufacturers and craftsmen across Europe.

After learning the trade with his grand-father from the tender age of 14, Daniel expanded the business in the sixties.  With the help of his wife Lili, he extended into costume jewelry and vintage plastics (bakelite, celluloid, acetate…). They assembled one of the most remarkable collections of French hair accessories (with signature pieces from renowned artisans of the 1930s to 50s including Auguste Bonaz and Léon Guillot) as well as spectacles and buckles.

Daniel & Lili is a truly remarkable and eclectic treasure trove to be discovered.
